All Girls Traveling Teams, Elite and Regional

Practices are, on average, twice a week. Practices last for 2 or 2 1/2 hours. Practice schedules vary from month to month.

During the season, the teams attend numerous one-day tournaments organized by the Southern California Volleyball Association (SCVA), which take place in Orange County and Los Angeles.

For these tournaments, the SCVA groups teams into the following age groups:

18-17 seniors and juniors
16 sophomores
15 freshmen
14-13 8th and 7th grade
12 & Under 6th grade and below

The SCVA also puts on three major tournaments. The first, held in Las Vegas in February, is limited to invited teams only in the 18s category. The second is a three-day Jr National Qualifier in Orange County and Los Angeles. The last is a two-day Regional Championship that all teams attend. It is held in late May and early June in Orange County and Los Angeles. For these overnights events, all teams will use a club-selected hotel.

Girls Elite Traveling Teams Elite Traveling Teams Tournament Schedule Elite Traveling Teams Fees Description: Epic Volleyball Club forms Elite Traveling teams in October for 14 and Under, in Nov-Dec for 15s thru 18s. Teams start practices in early November for 14 and Under or early December for 15s through 18s. (Note: Elite and Regional Team tryouts are held at the same time.) There is not a pre-determined number of teams. The number of teams is determined by the number of participants.

Girls Regional Traveling Teams Regional Traveling Teams Tournament Schedule Regional Traveling Teams Fees One of the big cost factors of a Traveling Team has always been an end of the year tournament, which accounts for almost 1/3 of the fees. This year, Epic will have Regional Traveling Teams in each age group and these teams will not attend an end of the year event, their last tournament will be the Regional Championship (see Tournament Schedule). This results in a lower-cost alternative that still provides a full traveling season of twice-a-week practices and many tournaments. Regional Teams will be formed at the same time that Elite Traveling Teams are formed, in October for 14 and Under, in Nov-Dec for 15s through 18s.
